Damon's eyes looked out the window as he had his brother to look out for his entire life. He had always been worried about him. Well on the inside at least. But now with Stefan a Ripper again, he couldn't shake the feeling that something that was dreadfully wrong with his brother. He didn't like to think it ...But it was the truth.
He looked down as he thought about what Elena said last week. She liked him. She finally admitted it. She liked him. Only he had to be able to momentarily hear it before he passed out after the antidote was admitted.
When he woke up he was better. He didn't understand what happened or what how he was saved. It was now two months later, and he had no sign of his brother. Damon turned and saw Elena still in bed. Why was he turning into the good guy for some reason ? This wasn't right. He was suposed to be the one who got introuble and the one who didn't get along well with others.
Well he had to get Elena up for school and he looked down pausing. "Elena...Time to wake up ...Your senior year"He said grinning"Its not going to be bad..Trust me "he said smriking.

elena was quite snuggled up in the small bed in the salvatore boarding house that Damon had allowed her to sleep in. she didn't seem to mind staying here at the boarding house with just Damon. her was being surprisly nice to her and with stefan gone he seemed to be getting even nicer. not that elena was expecting him to change his spots any time soon. damon was damon and always was going to be. there was no point in rying to change him, she already knew the answer before them, damon was never going to change his ways...
maybe he could change his ways? all elena wanted was him to change his ways of death and murder which she was pretty sure were over now. bbut how did she know he was never going back to it? it was crazy. and not to mention every five secs she was thinking of stefan and where in the world was he. Elena needed him. so very badly. she was going to die without him right? right. but then with damon... no she was going to die without stefan. for sure.
Elena woke slightly to Damon speaking to her which only made her roll over to look at him, he brown hair a complete mess. "trust you? ha, you make that sound as if it's an easy thing to do." she said smiling up at him slightly.

"Trust me ...I am not looking forward to this ..I ... I got to go to school again to... "He said as the words that came out of his mouth were like posion, "I hear your stories and all and everthing. I haven't been back to an educational environment in about 140 years or more Elena"he said smirking and yet, he half looked at her nervously.
Damon's eyes looked down pausing, "Angel so your not the only one who is going to be nervous or cautious today"He half smirked. He turned and went to hi scloset and looked at the map of the United states, "Stefan.."he mumbled to himself and then he put another piece of paper on the map and he sighed. He didn't know what to do . Last time it was another vampire Stefan liked and fancied had the effect that was desired.
To help himself he put his head on the cabnet and he looked down ,"What am I to do"He said to himself.
Maybe he was indeed changing and with stefan gone Elena was able to see the real him.

you can't quit now." shakes head getting up feeling a little tired. "besides it's not as if we all get stakes and shove it through hearts. You'll be fine." Elena said smiling at him as she gave him a hug hoping it would boost him only instead Elena felt this strange vibe run through them.
"no, instead I'll have you to worry about and your sarcastic comments along with that strange look you give the teachers."laughs slightly as she smiles at him glad they were able to joke around. But everything seem to go Cold when she heard him mutter Stefan. Oh... Her prefect Stefan. Where was he? Why wasn't he back yet? So many questions that all made elena feel sick. He wasn't coming back was he? "Damon..." Elena began looking over at him. he's not coming back is he?"
Elena was now giving up any hope of finding Stefan at all. He would be back now wouldn't he? How could she just... Give up on him? Because it was easier on everyone if Elena just thought he wasn't ever coming back. But how could she think that?
