f u l l d e s c r i p s o n : at first glance, it's not difficult to feel intimidated by emiliya's striking appearance. after all, she's had a hundreds of years to perfect her image, and it shows. with long wispy brown hair and strikingly dark brown eyes, emiliya's fierce attitude is balanced with a soulful, tempting smile & tranquil energy. with a slender frame and plainly delicate build, emiliya seems fragile and quite easily breakable. but with a thousand years of pent-up vampire power and little action to release it, this is far from the truth.
emiliya styles herself differently from day to day, as she's seen and mastered many trends, and enjoys wearing them all. although her style always leans towards the edgier side. her hair is quite similar, ever changing. worn up, worn down, worn straight, worn wavy, and everything inbetween. emiliya enjoys change. she has to. if she didn't, she wouldn't have lasted this long.

f u l l p e r s o n a l i t y after a thousand years, you'd think emiliya's ego would have cooled. who knows, maybe she'd finally ground herself, take a chill pill, let loose. unfortunately, this isn't the case. after a thousand years of running, hiding, & worrying, emiliya seems to be anything but worry-free. although her ways of expressing her worries seem to differ from her two doppelganger descendants. troubles? what troubles? emiliya often denies any signs of worry or stress. she's supposed to be cool, calm, wise, serene. at least, that's what she feels.
nevertheless, emiliya appears much more insecure than she realizes. driven by the fear of being captured (due to to the revengeful plots against her & the new curse against klaus), emiliya feels obligated to hide any traces of her existence, or swear those who do discover her to secrecy.
emiliya has a strong emotional side. she often enjoys watching romances unfold, and loves to tear them apart twice as much, just for the enjoyment of it.
f a m i l y : both of emiliya's parents were murdered by klaus at a young age. emiliya's three sisters, ana, izabela, & silviya were killed off as well.
h i s t o r y : emiliya was born in 992 to a family of wealthy landowners. on 1019, she died. it had been six months before when she met niklaus, and not only was she head over heels in love with him, she was also engaged. but klaus was young, handsome, wealthy, had the strangest name, and in all honesty, was quite pale. yet something about him drew her in. he was dark, mysterious, clearly. yet he was still undoubtedly vulnerable, almost innocent. like a strong, well trained guard dog who'd lost it's master.
"what's your name?" he had asked. emiliya had never been so taken aback by such a simple question. he seemed so secretive, emiliya couldn't help much crave to match it.
"emiliya... emiliya draganova."
from then on, they met each other at least once a week. each meeting was unplanned, yet after a month of running back into each other, emiliya finally tempted to know him better. sixth months later, a wedding date was planned for emiliya & her fiance. klaus changed her the day of her wedding against her will. frightened, she ran away. away from her family, away from her fiance, and away from klaus. after searching for the draganova family in order to find emiliya, he was then promptly directed to the petrovas. then, he realized her true lineage. she was the first petrova doppelganger, his only chance to unlock his werewolf powers.
emiliya ran faster than she'd ever ran before. away from home and back. when she finally came back three days after leaving, she found her family dead and her fiance drained of blood.
nearly five hundred years had past, and emiliya remained hidden, tempting close to klaus, though never approaching him directly. as gossip spread of a second petrova doppelganger, emiliya realized the extent of her danger. the original petrova was merely a myth now. the newest petrova had a bounty on her head, and emiliya made it her duty to stay as far away as possible. though driven my curiosity, emiliya made the trip to seek out katerina and meet her double herself, renaming herself "amelia powers" to keep well hidden. unfortunately, she never made it that far. emiliya was caught by witches and locked up to petrify before she could reach her.
by the arrival of the 17th century, emiliya reawakened and began to search again. this time, katerina was nowhere to be seen. emiliya then began to call herself 'emma knightly'. that lasted from the 17th to 19th century, with simple variation to her last name. still, emiliya remained in england.
by the 20th century, 'emily powers' traveled back and forth from europe to america, leaving whenever times got tough. after the third doppelganger appeared and the curse was broken, emiliya finally decided to search for the newest doppelganger, sending her to mystic falls.
