Mystic Falls, Virginia may seem like a quaint little town upon first glance, but ever since its founding in the 1860s it has been host to many paranormal secrets. 1860's Mystic Falls faced an ever bigger threat than the Civil War which was taking place, they were overrun with Vampires. The founding families thought that they had eradicated the threat, but what they didn't know was that two of their own had been turned.
For years, the town seemed normal. Even the few who knew the secret history of the town did not see that troubled times were coming. All of that changed in 2009 with the arrival of the Salvatore brothers. The entire year was like a roller coaster ride for the citizens of Mystic Falls. 2010 started off with a bang and seems to be setting up to be even more interesting than last year.
With Klaus, infuriated over his inability to make hybrids, Stefan as a crazed ripper, and Katherine Pierce up to no good again, no one is safe. And Damon...well you never can tell with Damon. He seems rather distraught over Andie's death, and is drowning his sorrows with alcohol. He has even been fortunate enough to find a new play thing on his porch.
Will Katherine's plan to rescue Elijah meet with success or failure? Will Elena ever get Stefan back? And will Klaus find out why his attempts to make hybrids have failed?
